Nowadays, gift boxes/hampers have become a popular type of gift due to their simplicity and the different types of products people can get in one single box. Crafting hampers for our clients have been a joy this past year. Prior to the launch of KATA Hampers, we had spent plenty of time planning and thinking about what clients would love and how to make our gift boxes stand out in a way that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional. Here are a few simple tricks, tips, and magic that goes into KATA hampers.

Deciding the occasion and budget

First and foremost, the questions we always ask our clients are : ‘what’s the occasion and your budget?’. Obviously, this will determine what and how much can go in to the hampers. It does not necessarily decide the size of the hampers, but more of the value of the goods included in the overall hamper.

Theme

Then, the second step is to decide on a theme, including the colour preferences. This is where imagination is our limit! Some loves the rustic vibe, while others prefer a monochrome look. Whatever is chosen, it would eventually be a reference to choose the box and the goodies to include.

Mixing and matching

Now the real fun begins, looking for the goods options that match the client’s occasion, theme, and budget. At this stage, it’s all about balance. It is a good challenge for us to create something that the client loves, while also fits their budget. We usually look for different options of goods that are available and colours that would work together. In addition, different shapes and textures also play an important part to make the final result looks stunning. At the end, we aim for the hamper to have a cohesive function and look.

Adding personal touch

Finally, we love a touch of personal element in a gift. It could be as little as a heart warming message, to a beautifully chosen quote for the receiver, or a calligraphy name tag. While we want to keep it nice and classy, we believe that the receiver would appreciate an extra thought from the sender that goes into the gift, however little it is.

Although there is no set of fixed rules to create a perfect hamper, the tricks mentions above have helped us in creating well-balanced hampers and gift boxes. At the end, what matter is the sincere motive of giving and the act of love. We’re excited to be embarking on a journey with each of our clients and creating incredible hampers for you.
